BA Hons. History and Theory of Art, University of Kent
MA History of Design, Victoria & Albert Museum / Royal College of Art
PhD History, The European University Institute, Florence
I am currently offering online lectures using Zoom if this is needed. The lecture will be presented live with a question and answer session at the end. We can negotiate if you would like a recording of the lecture. Otherwise, I am happy to present in person at your venue or to provide a hybrid (live at venue and at the same time transimitted digitally (eg via Zoom or YouTube)).
I am based just outside Cambridge. Having previously worked at the Victoria & Albert Museum and lectured for the University of Warwick, I now teach at the Open University. I have lectured widely in Britain; at the Courtauld Institute of Art, Victoria & Albert Museum and Museum of London amongst others, and to specialist groups including the NACF, the Ceramics Society, the Costume Society and the Ancient Monuments Society. I have also lectured in Europe, the USA (including Yale and the Huntington) and Canada and have numerous publications in academic journals and edited volumes.
I am available at any times of the day and all year round, and am
willing to travel any distance. I am also available at short notice.
The lecture fee for 2021 is £390 (negotiable for small societies).
I do not charge VAT.
Please click on the 'Full Lecture List' above to see my lectures.
I would be happy to discuss any of them with you.
All lectures are digital. Currently, I do not offer study days.
